What Makes Atherton Unique
Working independent of the town, but in partnership with it on a variety of projects, Atherton has its own Tree Committee. The committee’s main goals are to educate residents on the proper care and selection of trees. The committee also works to reduce the loss of existing trees through better resident tree care. Besides educating residents, they also work to plant trees where they have been lost to old age or disease.
