Incorporated in 1867, Redwood City is home to the San Mateo County History Museum. The museum is located in the county’s old courthouse. It also is home to the only active deep water port within the south bay of San Francisco. Even better, the port includes with a yacht club and sailing club at the marina.

Five California Gold Ribbon schools

With beautiful parks, good schools and a strong sense of community, there is something for everyone in Redwood City.  The Redwood City School District includes five California Gold Ribbon schools for K-8 children.
