Castro Street in the downtown corridor provides Mountain View residents with a fresh downtown feel, with vibrant and hip restaurants, stores and cafes. The 100 to 300 blocks of Castro Street will be pedestrian only and closed to motor vehicles and buses through early 2023. The Art and Wine Festival celebrates its 50th Anniversary this fall.

The Mountain View and Los Altos high schools are consistently ranked in the top 1% of high schools nationally. In the MVLA district, 98 percent of the graduates matriculate to college.
