With summer right around the corner, it’s time to start penciling in local South Bay events on the calendar. Redwood City Summer Happenings feature a number of family friendly events for all ages. In addition, there are events for grown ups too.
Music on the Square: So Many Summer Happenings in Redwood City
Celebrate the 17th year of Music on the Square with FREE music for 14 weeks throughout the summer on Friday evenings (beginning on Friday, June 2)! There will be top-quality local and national musical performers — from rock and reggae, to Americana and much more. Music fans of all ages will enjoy the most popular summer concert series on the Peninsula! It’s all located on the Courthouse Square – known as the Community’s “Living Room”. And we all know the weather can’t be beat in the summer. Come down and spend Friday evenings on the Square in Redwood City!
Reminder: glass bottled beverages are NOT allowed at events.
Library Learning Challenge

Start by checking out Redwood City’s Summer Learning Challenge. It’s hosted by the Redwood Public Library. The challenge runs from June 1 – August 31. The library will host live performances for all ages througout the summer too! It is generously sponsored again by Friends of the Redwood City Public Library.
Summer Camps in Redwood City

Fourth of July: Independence Day Parade, Festival and Fireworks




Redwood City is the place to be for community events all summer long! On the 4th of July the Peninsula Celebration Association hosts the largest Independence Day Parade in Northern California. In conjunction with the parade in Redwood City, there is a wonderful festival and fireworks in the evening.
