Central Park is considered to be San Mateo’s signature park. It includes a baseball field, tennis courts, sculptures, picnic areas, playground, a Japanese tea garden, recreation center, miniature train, rose garden and the San Mateo Arboretum.
Public Schools
The San Mateo-Foster City School District, for children in grades K-8, offers a combination of assigned schools and magnet schools. In addition, children have the option of going to San Mateo, Hillsdale, and Aragon High Schools based on the neighborhood they reside in. Ice Skating in Central Park … in San Mateo
The holiday ice skating rink in San Mateo at Central Park hosts three days of free skating in the next month. The free sessions at San Mateo on Ice include skates. The sessions are hosted on Dec. 7, Dec. 13 and Jan. 5 from 2-5 pm and 6-9 pm. You can purchase tickets in advance for San Mateo on Ice. It is open through Jan. 8, 2023.
